The Museum of Work and Popular Traditions of Historical Versilia is housed inside the Medici Palace in Seravezza, built by Cosimo I in the second half of the 1500s and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site; together with the Villas and Medici Gardens of Tuscany.

The Museum collects a rich collection of artefacts, tools and instruments that testify to the daily life and work of the people of Versilia, between the late nineteenth and mid-twentieth centuries, traditions in particular concerning the municipalities of Seravezza, Stazzema, Forte dei Marmi and Pietrasanta.

The museum itinerary is divided into several thematic rooms dedicated to agriculture, weaving, sculpture, marble excavation and processing, mining and iron processing, daily life and local traditions.

Each room proposes the reconstruction of specific environments and through multimedia supports and a video guide the illustration of the work processes is strengthened. Also through the use of QR codes specific insights are possible on the use of some tools.
